Nadine Nabie

Nadine Nabie is an attorney at law. She is a graduate of The University of the West Indies and the Hugh Wooding Law School. She currently holds the position of Assistant Solicitor General in the Ministry of the Attorney General and Legal Affairs where she started her legal career as a Legal Officer in 1997.

 

Apart from her work at the Office of the Attorney General, Ms. Nabie was also employed as Senior State Counsel in the Service Commissions Department (2007-2011), and was the Manager, Legal and Corporate Secretary at the Tourism Development Company from 2005 to 2006.

 

Ms. Nabie has experience in a variety of areas such as litigation in public law matters, discrimination law, international law, trade law and treaty negotiations. She has represented the state as junior counsel before the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council in several matters. She has participated in trade and other negotiations with Costa Rica, Panama, Guatemala, El Salvador and Cuba. Ms. Nabie was a member of the Standing Negotiating Committee on Air Service Agreements (2011-2014) and the Mental Health Committee (2003 -2005) as the representative of the Attorney General.
