  • Remove seal in the presence of the vendor and ensure valve is leak free by soapy water test.
  • Do not accept a cylinder which shows any sign of leakage, damage or missing rubber (also called the “O” ring).
  • If cylinder is not to be used immediately, store in a cool well ventilated area.
  • When ready to attach cylinder to stove, you should position the cylinder upwind and at least 1.5m or 5 feet from the cooking appliance or any source of ignition e.g. open flames, air conditioning compressor, etc.
  • Ensure stove and regulator are switched off before attaching regulator to cylinder valve.
  • Ensure all connections, hose, hose clips, etc are leak free by checking with soapy water before using stove.
  • A safety precaution, it is recommended that the regulator is turned off when the stove is not in use.
